À propos de cet audio
This is the story of how my family and I had to flee from our homeland, Congo, during the war in 1996-97. It is about how we survived many obstacles, including war, soldiers, snakes, hunger, and exhaustion, through our continued belief in God. Through prayer and dedication, we made it across dangerous waters to countries that, at times, were not very inviting. This is a testament to how prayer can get a person through the tough times - including the many physical, emotional, and spiritual trials we face every day of our lives.
Through the glory of God, we can be saved from the harsh world that we live in. This book is also a testament to how keeping faith and not giving into the despair can bring a better life to those who are suffering. Even in times when things looked most hopeless, my family was able to come together in Christ's name. His words brought us comfort, even when our beds were the rocky ground beneath us. Through pray and divine intervention, we were able to resist the temptation of hate and hopelessness, knowing that He was there with us, on the waters of Lake Tanganyika, in the jungles of Tanzania and to our home in Buffalo, NY.
This book also gives advice on such things as discrimination, resisting evil and living a Christian lifestyle.I wanted to share my story for many different reasons. First, I wanted to show how faith in God can change someone's life. Next, I wanted to celebrate the joy I have felt by having Christ in my life. Also, I wanted to share many of the lessons I have learned as I came face to face with doubt, hopelessness, and evil. My final reason is because I wanted to give hope to those who feel lost.
