well described story telling
I really enjoyed this book. I wanted to read it before the film version was released so I devoured it. The descriptive language paints a very good story and you cant help but fall in love with the Captain as his heart is captured by this wild little girl.

Easy listen
Great book about a different time. The characters are interesting and challenge our modern perspectives on historical events. Good for a long commute.

Charming
Loved this book! I couldn't stop listening. The narration was excellent. The depth and detail of the background made me feel as if I were traveling with the characters.
