À propos de cet audio
The number one best-selling series that Audible listeners call “wonderfully entertaining”, “packed with humor, geek references and thought-provoking storylines”, and performed by “a true master story teller and actor” returns as the Bobs face their deadliest challenge yet.
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all.
But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy. Sure, it could settle the Fermi Paradox for good (and what Bob doesn’t want to solve a mystery of the universe?). But it also reveals a threat to the galaxy greater than anything the Bobs could have imagined.
Just another average day in the Bobiverse.

Histoire
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

The ninth floor. Nine armies, each led by rich and powerful aliens from across the galaxy. Each team has one objective: to capture and hold the castle at the very center of the battlefield. Strategy, alliances, pitched battles, and, of course, betrayal ... It all makes for great fun and even greater television. After all, none of these powerful aliens really die when they’re playing war. Except this time. This time, winner takes all. Those who fall, stay in the ground.

Few know the warship’s actual name. But everyone has heard the rumors. The PUV James Keeling can do something no other vessel in existence can do—slip into another dimension, travel undetected, then re-emerge onto our plane and surprise enemy targets. But the thing that makes the Crypt unique also makes it a nightmare for those onboard; interdimensional travel causes hallucinations, violent behavior, and psychotic breakdowns. Keeling could be the Union’s greatest weapon, a game-changing asset that can defeat the bloodthirsty zealots of the Purist Nation, the Union’s mortal enemy.

Histoire
In the 20th century Earth sent probes, transmissions, and welcoming messages to the stars. Unfortunately, someone noticed. The Galactics arrived with their battle fleet in 2052. Rather than being exterminated under a barrage of hell-burners, Earth joined their vast Empire. Swearing allegiance to our distant alien overlords wasn't the only requirement for survival. We also had to have something of value to trade, something that neighboring planets would pay their hard-earned credits to buy. As most of the local worlds were too civilized to have a proper army, the only valuable service Earth could provide came in the form of soldiers....

Minalan gave up a promising career as a professional warmage to live the quiet life of a village spellmonger in the remote mountain valley of Boval. It was a peaceful, beautiful little fief, far from the dangerous feudal petty squabbles of the Five Duchies, on the world of Callidore. There were cows. Lots of cows. And cheese. For six months things went well: He found a quaint little shop, he befriended the local lord, the village folk loved him, he found a sharp young apprentice to help out, and, best yet, he met a comely young widow with the prettiest eyes.

Worth the wait!
I waited up until midnight of Sept 5th for Book 5 to appear in my library to listen to… and then 1am…. and then gave up and when I woke at 6am it was there! The Bobiverse is the only SciFi series that I have re-read as many times as Asimov’s Foundation (probably more) and this newest volume is just as smart, technical, human, and funny as it’s predecessors. Big fan of Dennis E Taylor’s work and had high expectations for this book. “You rang?” asked one of the Guppies, and Dennis totally answered with Not Till We Are Lost. (I will now re-listen to it and patiently wait again for Book 6.) PS: Once again loved your performance Ray Porter. You can narrate my life anytime. You are the true voice of “The BOB.”

Uh-Oh
This book just came out I finished it and already want more. Love the BOBS and the world building involved in this series!! The only "flaw" in my opinion is that it seemed to end a bit abruptly, I felt like a few more chapters would have rounded things out a bit better. That said, I'll be first in line for the next one and I would recommend this series to anyone!

Fun, thoughtful sci fi
I’ve really enjoyed all of the books in the Bobiverse series and this is no exception. A mix of action, fun, science and physics all tied together with a lighthearted, sarcastic wit. I’m already looking forward to the next book in this series.

Closure, yet so many new doors opened...
An excellent continuation of the Bobiverse series. Excellent writing by Dennis and as always, a excellent presentation by Ray.
The story give closure to some of the threads opened in earlier books, but sure opens up the world to more adventures in the future. Looking forward to the next book in the series, may it arrive soon.

Not as good as the others
I don’t want to say it’s his worst one as I love the Bobiverse, so I’ll say it’s his least best! Just felt this one didn’t really go anywhere with multiple meh storylines. Didn’t capture me like the others. As always the performance was excellent. Hoping this one was just a builder for the next one. Keep them coming!
