À propos de cet audio
College student Megs Devonshire sets out to fulfill her younger brother George’s last wish by uncovering the truth behind his favorite story. What transpires is a fascinating look into the bond between siblings and the life-changing magic of stories.
1950: Margaret Devonshire (Megs) is a seventeen-year-old student of mathematics and physics at Oxford University. When her beloved eight-year-old brother asks Megs if Narnia is real, logical Megs tells him it’s just a book for children, and certainly not true. Homebound due to his illness, and remaining fixated on his favorite books, George presses her to ask the author of the recently released novel The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe a question: “Where did Narnia come from?”
Despite her fear about approaching the famous author, who is a professor at her school, Megs soon finds herself taking tea with C. S. Lewis and his own brother Warnie, begging them for answers.
Rather than directly telling her where Narnia came from, Lewis encourages Megs to form her own conclusion as he shares the little-known stories from his own life that led to his inspiration. As she takes these stories home to George, the little boy travels farther in his imagination than he ever could in real life.
After holding so tightly to logic and reason, her brother’s request leads Megs to absorb a more profound truth: “The way stories change us can’t be explained. It can only be felt. Like love.”

A Wonderful Story Of Courage & Hope
Like most children of my generation, I was captivated by C.S. Lewis' Narnia stories and in particular, The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe. Patti Callahan has given us a book that reminds us of the power of stories. Stories give us strength, courage & hope. This has been the best book I have read in a long time!

A lovely heartwarming story
This is a very nice and plausible story that will leave you feeling warm. If you like C. S. Lewis' works you will appreciate the research that has gone into the writing of the story.
The narrator is quite pleasant to listen to and reads the book very well. She does a decent job creating various voices. My only "yikes" moment was when she pronounced "lieutenant" in the American manner rather than what would have been said in England and Ireland (where the story is located). I am Canadian and was overly disappointed when this happened.

Beautiful read
This story is a journey that I didn’t know I needed to take. Thank you for transporting me to a world that became so real that the characters became friends. I couldn’t wait to hear where they were headed next. This is a book I will reread just to enjoy the journey once again.

WONDERFUL read!
What a wonderful story! It draws you in from the first page with engaging characters; the plot line ebbs and flows in a way that makes you want to continue reading. Highly recommend!

Rich story, superb narration
A wonderfully fantastic story exploring the origins of Narnia. Excellent narration. Beware if listening while driving - it tugs at the heart strings.
