I needed a crash course
I initially chose this book based on it's length. I was put in charge of PR in the startup company I'm with as we all need to wear multiple hats, and as I was short on time this book promised to give me the short notes. I find that most 'business' books tend to have very few main points, but manage to waffle on for hundreds of pages/hours to justify your purchase. Nancy's book was concise and well written and I quickly got used to her narration style, which is friendly and easy to listen to. My only complaint was handled by Nancy very quickly. The narration refers to appendices available on her website, but they were not there. I called Nancy's company and left a message and she got back to me later that day. She was apologetic and grateful for me letting her know about the broken links, and sent me a copy of the book, along with her latest book, 'Grow your audience, grow your brand' in the mail. There was also a handwritten note, which showed me that she walks her talk, as it is a recommendation she makes in her book. Overall I would recommend this book for anyone who is looking for a 'how to' on PR without needless waffle.
