The story:

Helped by a disparate group of allies, she must unravel the secrets of her life and past if she is to survive a coming battle in which the line between friends and foes is fatally blurred.

Abnett at his best
Has you hooked from the start. Dan Abnett returns to some of his best characters in Eisenhorn and Ravanor. Great plot and beautifully narrated. If you are a 40k fan this is a must.

Solid, fun, interesting, ready for more.
It's a bit slow at first, at least relative to other Warhammer 40K books Dan Abnett has written, but it picks up and becomes pretty intriguing. Seeing Eisenhorn and Ravenor as side characters was an interesting dynamic to witness. Seeing the continuation of their stories is worth it alone, even if they're just side characters here. The mystery of the main characters identity was compelling.
Can't say much without spoiling a lot but there is some great 40K action and intrigue to be had. The narrator is fantastic, I hope she reads more Black Library books.
You would probably get the most out of this by having checked out the previous Eisenhorn and Ravenor books first. You maybe don't totally have to, this could conceivably stand on it's own, but it would add to the experience I think.
I would not start your Warhammer 40K journey here. If you've never read anything in this universe before I think you'd be quite lost starting here. It's not a good intro, but if you know what's going on it's a good one to check out.

Awesome book.
Dan Abnett writes the grim dark future of warhammer 40k in way manner that makes me put everything away and just sit and listen to the audiobook. This was great from
Start to finish. I love all of his inquisitor books. Pariah was refreshing after a few other more stale newer 40K novels I’ve suffered through lately. I can’t say enough good things. If Dan wrote it, buy it.

Great read
Started out slow and seemed random. However, Dan Abnett started to show his writing finesse by weaving an intricate story as time went on. Definitely worth the money. Lots of nice surprises.

Abnett at his finest
Abnett's catalogue of warhammer is vast and highly praised, so I do not say it lightly that this is his best book thus far. An absolute must (after listening to Eisenhorn and Ravenor)

Great performance.
Helen Keely is amazing as the narrator. This book was super enjoyable and the time just flew buy. Knock it down a star as it felt very narrow in scope but lots of build up and suspense.

Continues an amazing series
Amazing book
it's a bit jarring coming from the full eisenhorn/ravenor books with Toby narrating to this...over 70 hours of Toby narrating each character to have them suddenly change really throws you off. But she still does a good job and obviously it's told from bequin perspective so it make sense.
