Ce que les critiques en disent

Mesmerising, magical, deeply moving. I loved and adored this book! If you are looking for a read that will warm your heart, inspire your creative mind and renew your faith in the resilience of the human race, look no further (ELIF SHAFAK)
A poem to Pádraig is like a child to Mary Poppins. It sits, alert, in wonder that he should know it so well. I would go out at night to hear Pádraig talk of the poems. The next best thing, maybe even better, is Poetry Unbound . . . There should be a copy of Poetry Unbound in every bar, every café, every train station, every bus station, every airport, every workplace, every school, every university, everywhere! (LEMN SISSAY)
A wonderful anthology of poetry filled with fascinating and thought-provoking commentary from one of the best voices in contemporary poetry today (WILLIAM SIEGHART)

An incredible weaving of poetry, experience and interpretation.

The weaving together of Pádraig Ó Tuama’s personal experience, his understanding of the art of poetry, and interpretation of the prose…not to mention his incredible narrative skills. I’ll be listening to this one over and over. Till the last words of the End Credits. Thank you for this incredible gift Pádraig Ó Tuama.

Such an inspiring book, and well worth the time/money invested

There is so much beauty in this collection of art. With it, Pádraig makes poetry accessible for people like myself who, with a predominantly math/sciences background, do not otherwise possess the tools or confidence to relate to it in a meaningful way. Not only did I feel like I was receiving meaningful education while listening to this collection, I felt like I was actually connecting with it. The unexpected and perhaps most valuable part of this book was the intimate glimpse into Pádraig’s life that is slowly built upon throughout the text; a poem onto itself. I plan to listen to this again soon with my family.

I have been missing the Poetry Unbound podcast

This has been a wonderful way to fill that gap. I can’t get enough of Padraig. I had no idea of the power of poetry. It had always felt like a foreign language to me, its secrets hidden for the select few that could decipher it. Now poetry feels like a close friend I can turn to anytime I need it. It’s been life- changing.

Worth listening to over & over & over again

I listen to this book as I lay in bed ready to sleep. I set the timer for 15 minutes & am often asleep before that time. But it does not matter about missing parts - because I will hear it somewhere in the future. I also believe this complex brilliant fusion between poetry & analysis is not only a perfect means of distracting me from worries that would keep me sleepless, but is also a wonderful exercise for my brain. Best & most endless book I have in my audio library.
