Worth Every Minute

Prehistoria takes a very simple story and immerses it with the real-life lore of dinosaurs to deliver an entertaining story steeped with science. Blackburn's well-paced, immersive text transforms the distant past into a relateable, primal experience where you can be fully immersed in what the dinosaur is feeling, without actually directly giving it human traits. This is a good thing because the whole experience feels very much like listening to a Walking with Dinosaurs Episode, but better. Mahaffy's narration is fantastic in conveying the tone and visceral imagery of the text. The really fun part is when Mahaffy narrates the author's scientific notes in a fun and engaging fashion, wrapping up the text with a lovely lecture to cap off a thoroughly entertaining read.
