À propos de cet audio

Every practice deserves to be profitable.

For therapists, profit is too often an afterthought. You focus on caring for clients and paying rent and clinicians, and take home the leftovers—if there are any. In Profit First for Therapists, Julie Herres adapts the popular profit first cash flow system specifically for private practice owners. Through client stories and case studies, powerful frameworks, and simple tips, she lays out a clear path to profitability.

In this book, you will learn how to:

  • Implement profit first in your therapy practice, step by step.
  • Determine spending guidelines for various stages of private practice
  • Scale your space, your people, and your leadership positions.
  • Manage clinician compensation, your group practice's largest expense.

No matter the size of your practice, or whether you've heard of Profit First, this book will give you the tools you need to stop worrying about money and achieve financial freedom.

Challenging as an audiobook

I found the subtitle "A Simple Framework for Financial Freedom" compelling but I didn't find the term "simple" came into it at all for me. However, I feel it could be that a physical book to view the spreadsheets and formulas would have made understanding the steps more feasible. The audio and pdf did not work for me. Hopefully, it is just a "me" issue.

this could have been a 1 hour listen

profit first is a useful book that is longer than it needs to be. profit first for therapists is a less useful version of the same content but it somehow uses even more words to communicate even less. there are some kernels of useful information here but they are so few and far between I can't recommend this listen. worse, the examples given are downright insulting to any intelligent listener. to benefit from the examples given in this book, you'd have to be a total imbecile. and I don't mean one or two examples. I mean a steady stream of morons paraded through the chapters.

the biggest takeaway I took from this book is that most of my competition must be totally idiotic. anybody running a therapy Group practice who has half a sweet clue what they are doing is apparently let yours ahead of the intended audience of this annoyingly condescending book.
