Loved the local neighborhood heros

Narrator Aiden Snow delivered once more one hell of a sexy 5th installment in the Bounty Hunter series. The plot thickens down in Atlanta as a fresh twist was added to the series. Our rough alpha men are growing older, they need to retire, so new trainees are being introduced to us, hence the next younger generation.
The young blood may be inexperienced when it comes to Bounty Hunting, but in all other aspects, they are faster and smarter and more lethal. Look out Atlanta criminals, your days of roaming the streets are numbered!
My 3 descriptive keywords for this audiobook: Dark, menacing and contemplative.
By this time the plot is somewhat predictable, but still very much enjoyable. I loved the secondary characters, they highlighted the world our next generation is coming from, making them your local secret neighborhood heros.
The characters are much more believable to me. I loved how good Kellam is in the different styles of martial arts, and that Quick has trained him. This testifies about Quicks talents as well, made me appreciate the earlier books so much more.
I loved how Ty searched for his queen all his life. The references made by his father and the deeper meaning behind accepting your love for who they are and that two different religions and cultures actually can survive together. Ty truly was royalty, and he realized his queen is actually his knight. Loved it!
I do recommend this audiobook. Cheers, this one should be enjoyed with an ice cold beer, the sex scenes were sweltering hot!

Was sceptical but very sweet
I love the series but I wasn’t sure about this one at first but I guess it makes sense for these 2 specific characters because of their beliefs. It turned out very sweet and sexy.

Beautiful
This was very different. Kell and Ty’s story was very unique. This was not very spicy but I’d say more romantic and followed a traditional love style than any o the other characters from the nothing or promises series. A great still none the less. Aiden snow’s narration is perfection as always

Misogynistic Storyline - Disappointed
I'd like to start off by saying I'm a fan of A.E. Via's writing style. I've enjoyed Promises Books 1-4, Nothing Special series, A True Lover's Story series and 2 standalone books, but this book fell short. Firstly, it's incredibly misogynistic. Ty is a black man who appears to feel he's better than most black men. Given Brian was Ty's dead father's best friend, the relationship between Brian and Ty was left unexplored. Ty not asking Brian questions about his Dad missed the mark completely. Kell ended up being a poor, Cinderella-like female who was unbelievably a demure, virgin wife and even more ridiculous, covers his head (assume this is in lieu of a burka)! All of this occurred within a 2 month period. This book is also not at all as spicy as her other books!! But, because I work hard for my money I could not bring myself to DNF. It feels like a wasted credit 😪. Really hope the next Promises book is more like the previous books in the Biunty Hunter series. The only saving grace was the narrator, Aiden Snow who did a great job! Otherwise, this book was a disappointment.
