Then he joined Joy Division - while they were still known as Warsaw - a pioneer of the rousing post-punk sound that would revolutionise twentieth-century rock.

Listen to this

It's awesome for post punk nerds like myself. Better than Hooky's UP book (but his is great too). Still need to read Bernards. Give it a go.
