Information necessary-robot voice unnecessary
I love Linda Hill, and her work is very validating and needed. The reading is so robotic there is really a need for some feeling in here.!
I was surprised it was read by a real human being. You can’t tell the difference if it is a quote or a part of the book which makes it really hard to understand in an audible book.

Boring and repetitive
I couldn't listen. It was awful. Repetitive and uninformative. Not what I was expecting at all.

Overly Simplistic and one-sided take on a complex subject.
This book creates more problems than it solves. It takes a bullet point perspective on the subject, that allows anyone, whether a victim or just a perceived victim, to pick and choose the points that support their own victimhood. It presents analysis that says this or that behaviour isn’t always narcissistic, but then fails to elucidate that dichotomy, leaving every behaviour that is remotely narcissistic to be seen as fully narcissistic, and thus bad. ‘If you feel this, that it must be that.’ In today’s ADHD generation, it creates an echo chamber of self supporting arguments which do more harm than good. It’s a black and white analysis of a subject that has a thousand shades of grey. Shame on the author. Worst part is, that it is quoted by a million you tube psychologists who are re-enforcing the simplistic analysis as ‘expert advice’. I see this destroying relationships up and down the spectrum. Life isn’t easy and growing up is hard. These kinds of easy reads only make it harder for people to truly grow through self-discovery and self-examination.

Excellent 4 books, in spite of the first book’s narrator
I’ve listened to many books on these subjects and I found this set of titles to cover all important aspects of the issues. Complete, yet concise, I think these four books are the best I’ve listened to on the topics. However, the narrator of the first book has a very robotic way reading and I had to increase the speed to 120% just to get through it (and it was still unpleasant). The three other books made my purchase worthwhile.
