Esther Wane does a wonderful job narrating this book that melds the dirty backstreets of London with the fanciful world of fairies, goblins, et al. When our heroine finds out her missing boyfriend is involved not only in London’s seedy underworld, but another world beyond that? It’s a lot to take in, especially as one’s floor of reality keeps caving in at every amazing twist and turn.

Solid novel that introduces us to this fantastical (and frightening) reimagining of our world, and it smartly sets up a sequel. It threw a few too many characters into the mix (including a few way too late for my liking), but this was enjoyable and I look forward to the next instalment.

An interesting and gory look at the world of the fey in modern times. Never dull but some of the story arcs were obvious from the start. I wasn’t crazy about the performer’s voicing for different characters , especially the females.

The thing I like about Fantacy is that everything is fair game, you do t know what to expect and this novel certainly put you on the tip of your toes.

This was a well written book, and the series only gets better from here. With an interesting viewpoint on some of the world's oldest tales, this series left me wanting more.
