lovely stories, but

Grimm is the worst cop ever. Anyone who enjoys mysteries or police procedurals should probably give these a miss. The author skips very basic steps such as checking alibis or following the money to "create" a mystery that doesn't exist. Zero twists. A real Grimm wouldn't have a job, let alone be a DCI. Still the stories and descriptions are lovely -very influenced by All Creatures Great and Small - which is very nostalgic for fans of Herriot.
