Journey over destination
Yet another great addition to the series, with lots of twists and turns. The characters come to life and are so relatable. Their inner struggles are the ones that matter most and the book challenges these thoughtful characters in ingenious ways. We get to see how many such a variety of heroic behaviours through tough decisions from both the villains and the protagonists.

Giving you the run around
First off, the narration is superb as always, however this book has some issues. Rhythm of War has some good moments, but story arks are stretched out to unnecessary proportions and the book takes it's sweet time getting to the point. The book can get quite boring because of just how long it goes around itself till it decides it's time to move on.

Best of the series! (so far)
Book 4 continues the journey of flipping the reader's perspectives on familiar sci-fi and fantasy tropes. It is inventive and compelling, but most of all Rhythm of War is a profoundly humanizing and emotional treatment of the experience of purpose, loss, struggle and trauma.
Sanderson's treatment of the climax to the journeys of Shalon and Caledon is an emotional roller coaster and literally brought tears as I listened.
Thank you Brandon for this astounding gift!

LONG, WINDING and TOO INTRICATELY INTERCONNECTED
I Actually gave up on it and came back to it. Glad I did as it progressed forward much better. Having to link all the pieces together across all the Cosmere actors requires you to have a Wiki mind, and I found myself having to turn to it just to follow all the characters, plots and planets involved. I see how this is now leading up to an all engulfing COSMERE war. Still prefer mistborn series over this though.

Big cosmere book
Little slow in the middle but starts and end pretty strong. lots about the mechanics of how the cosmere works gets explored in this book. Enjoyed both narrarators as always.
