À propos de cet audio
This book is designed to be an accompanying guide to the listener through Paul’s Letter to the Romans. The guide will take the listener on a seven-week journey. There is a general introduction to seven significant sections, followed by daily readings. The daily readings have introductory comments and questions about how the text becomes alive in us, and we become alive in the text. Each week contains a weekly prayer that derives from themes within the text. Additionally, there is an Action Plan for the Week, this is a guide for something we might do, or a challenge that we might face to help the Word of God become active throughout the entirety of our being.
This book is also designed for group or class engagement. Paul wrote this letter to a church, a group of people who were gathered in Rome. Our lives seldom thrive apart from healthy community, so to with a healthy faith. At the end of each chapter, there are recommended questions for group discussion. It is anticipated that the most good for this work is when we not only take up and read - as St. Augustine was challenged to do - but as we then enter into holy conversations with others.
