Dom & Abe!

Dom & Abe's story! The main theme here is multi-generational relationships. I am in one myself so this book really resonated with me. As usual with these authors, we get a suspense story wrapped around a M/M relationship forming. The suspense revolves around Dom's criminal older brother coming to Cincy and setting up some heists. A jewelry store in particular. We get murders, car chases, angst, and all the Ward Security guys involved in the dramatic resolution. The relationship part involves Dom and Abe coming to terms with their mutual attraction, accepting it, and enjoying the benefits after sorting out all the conflicts. Great HEA to finish the story.

This book is shorter than the others, only 18 chapters. So the action clips right along. For the first time ever, I had trouble with Kenneth Obi's narration. He does Abe well, but Dom sounds like a high-school freshman on the cross-country track team, not a 32-year old security guard. I believe this is Obi's last contribution to the series as the rest of it is hard-copy only. RIP Kenneth.
