Unpredictable
I can often predict the endings of books and confess i make a bit of a game of it at times, with an admitted smugness. However this book kept presenting with little nuggets of surprise. Something about the character made me slightly melancholy, so I did have to be mindful of it impacting my mood. Overall very well done though!

Well written psychological thriller
Boy some of Anna's train of thoughts really got on my nerves and I almost turned the book off a couple of time's. I guess that means K.L. Slater did such a good job of building this mentally disturbed lady it got under my skin. However, I can certainly understand Anna's dislike (or hatred) of Carla as she certainly could have made better decisions in the scheme of things. Some of Anna's thoughts got me really irritated and made me think how someone could even see things the way she did. I guess with the"right" set of circumstances anything is possible.
The narrator did a pretty good job of vocally distinguishing between characters and did a great job overall narrating the story. I would look for other books from this author for sure!

Good writing but the story itself is confusing
I’m still not sure what was real and what wasn’t…it was a bit uneventful at the end for such a slow burn.

Okay story
Entertaining story but rather predictable. Reinforces many negative mental health stereotypes, enough that I often had to take a break from listening. I can’t leave a book unfinished though.

Grips you from the beginning.
Kept in suspense throughout the book. I looked forward to listening daily. A few plot disappointments in how I wished certain situations ended differently but that is relative. I did figure out 2 twists but that didn't change the positive rating.Enoyed.

Great all the way through.
