Tough transition to a new narrator but this is bad
Look - of course nobody expects a new narrator to perfectly mirror the previous one in their performance but it appears that McPherson made no effort to listen to and imitate the previous TWELVE books in the series. The voices here are nearly unlistenable. This isn't Harry Potter. Why does Larkin sound like a magical elf? Why is every characters spoken dialogue narrated as if they are reading a script with one word on each page? These characters are extremely battle hardened warriors who have been to hell and back countless times.
Skip this one. Thank God this guy only did one of these. Sorry!

Where TF is Toby Longworth?
It’s a story up to Dan Abnett’s high standards, but James McPherson’s work on this ranged from OK to atrocious. In this book, Larkin sounds like a Monty Python character, names aren’t pronounced properly, and the three main accents that make up the 1st are all over the place. I lasted 2 hours and had to return it. I opted to have iOS accessibility text to speech reader narrate the ebook version instead.

Good non-heretical text.
Listened in pretty much one sitting, narrator was great but I think Cybon's voice and the chaos fleet ship names were a little over the top. Otherwise an immersive reading.

Abnett does what he does best in this book, which is write some of the best Warhammer stories.

same excellent writing from Dan Abnett, but the new voice actor took some getting used to. he's excellent, clear diction and good speed, just not what I was used tomfromthe previous 13 books.

New reader ruined all the voices of well established character .
like title say. they changed the reader after 13 books and not a huge fan of is artistic interpretation of the well established character. hard solder are sounding like caricatures of children book wizard.

A lot of the voices are poorly done
Brace yourself for Larkin, truly such a shock for me, that's the worst one but lots of others are messed up too. plus even the pronunciation of names too

Great book again, but....
I almost stopped listening to the after the first few chapters... the narrator definitely didn't do any research on the characters from the previous books and absolutely ruined, no destroyed the immersion for me.... if it wasn't for the fact that Dan is such a good writer and I was already 12 books deep I would have refunded this
