À propos de cet audio
What would you sacrifice to have the gift that changes everything?
Sarana's Gift is a short fantasy story about a long and dangerous journey into the Mayan world of gods and goddesses.
When Sarana rides into a fantasy land on a silver-white horse, she just wants to get away, to run to some place safe. She has no idea what dangers she will face or that she will find the gift that changes everything. Will she be able to keep it?
Her first challenge comes when Sea Turtle Mother tells her that only she can save the baby turtles from red death, a monstrous dragon she must face alone and without weapons. She wants to run. She wants to hide, but the crying of the babies and the keening of the mother turtles make her stop. When she turns and faces the monster, she discovers a strength she didn't know she had.
The adventure grows more dangerous when she has to face the irritable Blue Peacock God...without angering him, since he is capable of destroying the world and even time itself. In order to save the world, she must also save the blue spirit center, where all the world's dreams begin. How can she possibly do this when it means she must have one of the god's brilliant tail feathers? It's impossible.
The greatest challenge she faces is in an underwater world where dolphins, octopus, brightly colored fish, a tiny sea horse, and the great god Kan offer her the safety and beauty she has been so desperately seeking. However, she must pay a great price to stay. What will she decide?
Sarana's Gift is a spirit journey. Sarana discovers unknown strengths and is given many gifts. Then she is faced with the need to sacrifice what she thinks she needs most to restore the balance of the world.
Will she be able to keep the gift that changes everything?
