À propos de cet audio
Life on the prairie has never been easy, but now Oestend itself seems bent on destruction.
Banished from the BarChi by the man he loves, Dante Pane must find a way to heal his broken heart while homesteading a new ranch. Unable to love women, afraid to love men, Dante wants only to find some peace. But peace is hard to come by in Oestend.
Ranch hands Simon and Frances came to Dante’s ranch to help him rebuild, but they’re beginning to think the place is cursed. Every building reeks of death, and strange occurrences plague the land - dead animals, unnatural weather, and voices riding wind. The men hate to return to the BarChi in defeat, but it’s the only place unaffected by whatever sickness has taken hold of the prairie.
While Simon struggles with the ghosts of his past and the nature of his partnership with Frances, Dante must convince Deacon and Aren to trust him again, because there’s more at stake than his ranch. Oestend is in trouble, and it will take all of them working together to set things right.
This title was previously published by Total-E-Bound. The overall story remains unchanged, but with revisions to the Simon and Frances storyline.

⭐️🌟⭐️ Loved it ⭐️🌟⭐️
Beat those tambourines in sibilation and amazement of this author and narrator team. Narrator John Solo gifted us the second book of the highly anticipated and colourful hubbub about surviving the deadly wilderness of Oestend. His delivery carried the energy, passion and turmoil the author so passionately wrote. His stunning performance culminated in the matchless creative writing by Marie Sexton.
The author introduced various sexual identities very subtly and so beautifully captured transexual people and how they experience themselves, their world and their lovers. As a transexual gender fluid person myself I love how the relationship between Dante and Cami grew into bilateral affection, although they each perceive themselves as opposites but enjoy each others’ bodies for what the other lover believes themselves to be. Dante loved Cami wholeheartedly and indulged Cami because he loved her.
The book has multiple storylines and it keeps the listener guessing. It has all the elements for an excellent movie. It has a fabulous plot and sequence of events. It is unpredictable with borrowed elements from aboriginal songs and culture. From a country, I cannot pinpoint. It has mystery and murder, love and perseverance. With a message of subtle osmosis to equalize rather than blundering tactless invasion and annexation.
I definitely recommend this audiobook.
