In the words of the Buddha, the four foundations of mindfulness (the four satipatthanas) are "the direct path for the purification of beings, for the surmounting of sorrow and lamentation, for the disappearance of dukkha (suffering) and discontent, for acquiring the true method, for the realization of Nibbana." Within the quintessential discourse called the Satipatthana Sutta, we find the Buddha's seminal teachings about the practice of meditation.

Great book
I took the class with Oren, and I liked that the book is read by him. It’s a nice book to listen to while walking in the morning. The information in this book is nothing I’ve read or heard before, it’s like finally understanding conversations in a new way but so simply put that I wonder why nobody thought of that before!!

Excellent! Highly recommended!
Very helpful and informative for developing the mindset required to really put NVC into practice. I have been struggling with pausing and not reacting to judgements and criticisms. The small mindfulness practices provided in this book are greatly beneficial to furthering patience, tolerance, compassion and gratitude from an NVC perspective.

BRILLIANT
starts of slowly (a little hard to get into), but buckle up! Once it gets going, there is 11 hours of pure GOLD.
Building off Marshall Rosenberg's Nonviolent Communication: a language for life (another must-read), Sofer takes it to another level, adding meditation and more detailed components to the use of nonviolent communication. Every aspect of how we interact with others is expressed in this work.
Beautiful!
