À propos de cet audio
Cameron Boxer is very happy to spend his life avoiding homework, hanging out with his friends, and gaming for hours in his basement. It's not too hard for him to get away with it...until he gets so caught up in one game that he almost lets his house burn down around him.
Oops.
It's time for some serious damage control - so Cameron and his friends invent a fake school club that will make it seem like they're doing good deeds instead of slacking off. The problem? Some kids think the club is real - and Cameron is stuck being president.
Soon, Cameron is part of a mission to save a beaver named Elvis from certain extinction. Along the way, he makes some new friends - and some powerful new enemies. The guy who never cared about anything is now at the center of everything...and it's going to take all his slacker skills to win this round.

A must read and / or listen to audio book for young teens!
In 1978, while pursuing a Scholastic book order, I discovered Gordon Korman’s first book “ This Can’t be Happening at MacDonald Hall. “ The fact that Korman had written it at the age of 12 impressed my Gr 6 students, especially the boys.
That first purchase led to reading , over the next twenty four years , to each year’s class or Gr 6&7 . the MacDonald Hall series then all of Korman’s non-series books until I retired in 2002 .
When boys , who typically don’t choose to read for pleasure, ask where to find the Gordon Korman book that I had read to them, one knows that the subject matter and writing style was appealing!
Recently, having seen “Slacker” in my email box of Audible’s ‘Today’s Daily Deal ‘ I thought of my former students . The title would have especially caught the attention of those Gr 6&7 boys.
“Slacker” was definitely a book that I needed to purchass. Using four narrators made it sound more like an old time radio drama....very appealing !
This story about selfless service to others and how it serves to transform and benefit the ‘helper’ , can serve as a teaching tool for the self-absorbed young teens of this current generation ,

I loved it, you would too and here's why
I loved it! The way the chapters had different voices really brought out Gordon's style

Inconsistent and okay
My son loved it but as for me it was just okay. The narration was inconsistent and did not have good flow. The story it self was good and my son said he thinks it was "awesome" *gives thumbs up. As an adult i found it vary okay, not amazing by any means at all. i think it would have been better to stick to one narrator or match the audio levels better. Over all wouldn't recommend for anyone over 12.
