À propos de cet audio
They call you a fake because you’re the best. Being called a fake is the last rite of passage on the internet. In the relentless pursuit of excellence, you only know you’ve arrived when you have “haterz”—your most valuable marketers. So Good They Call You a Fake is how you get there. This book teaches step-by-step with no steps skipped how to get the visibility you’ve already earned, become an energy monster who thrives on all kinds of attention, and then monetize that attention to the max.

Play Misty for Me
About a month ago, I ordered So Good They Call You a Fake. What I heard in this book was part How To Manual and part Writing Textbook. I have two degrees; courses in Creative Writing; even had reporters use my stuff in columns.
What I lacked from academia, I have found in this book. Joshua does a good job of combining pragmatism, encouragement, realism, and a clever use of the scientific method.
I have used the audiobook in conjunction with the print and Kindle version to get a multi-sensory experience.
My favourite section of the audio book is Misty's Misfortune, and the paragraph just before it. The narrator brings the book to life.
"What do you need before you write a book-and create everything else afterwards? Well, a system. The system. Your system."
"Misty's talent stack began and ended with "manipulating other women." Sickening. So again, this book is neither for beginners nor charlatans. For any of this book to work for you, you do, in fact, need to be good at something) or a few somethings, preferably) and know how you do it."
[The chapter triggered a memory of an old 1970s movie starring Clint Eastwood called Play Misty For Me. In the movie, Evelyn is a manipulative psychopath that has an obsession with Clint Eastwood's character, a local DJ. She calls him every night asking him to play the song Misty.]
I recommend that readers purchase the audiobook. I listen to it when I am puttering around the garage or on a walk.
Although I have yet to start my blog, or do any of the writing I have long dreamed of, I am glad I heard Joshua's book first.
The audio version of So Good They Call You a Fake has provided me a blue print and a road map to do what I want most in life: help people and receive fair compensation for my work.
