Loved this performance
This was one of the first KJ Charles books I read, so I had really high hopes when I got the audiobook. I wasn't disappointed. Ruairi Carter delivers a wonderfully engaging performance. I absolutely loved the voices for both Saul and Randolph. Saul somehow became even more endearing to me, listening to this, and I already loved him so much. I'll definitely listen to this again.

Good Mystery, Un-engaging Characters
This book had all the charm of a K. J. Charles, but its characters failed to engage me. I was interested in the mystery, which kept me listening while I struggled to be drawn into Saul and Randolph's story.
I hate to say it, but the narrator didn't feel like quite the right fit for this book.
Despite my challenges with this book, I am looking forward to the next in the series.

Needs a different narrator
I just can't seem to get through this. There's just something about the narrator's voice that's so off and totally unsuitable for whatever this story is supposed to be. I've come back to this four times now and I can never get past the first few chapters. I can't even tell if part of the issue is with the story because I just can't get past the poor narration. So glad I didn't have to buy this title or that would have been a complete waste.

A fun romp!
The story line ran well and I enjoyed the supernatural aspect. At first I wasn't thrilled with the narrator, but after a while his voice grew on me.
