Overall I really like this series.
Some of the concepts conveyed are a bit juvenile, but all the important bits are really REALLY well done.
Example stuff I like:
How technology interacts with and effects the strategy and tactics of combat is marvelously well done. Its clear the author has spent immense amount of time and effort to get this right. Well done.
I specifically like how FTL travel works. Its well thought out and doesn't break the universe.
Stuff I don't like:
There are some aspects of Star Force that don't make sense and come across more as the author projecting his personal views on things. This is OK to a degree but ... For example Star Force doesn't eat meat, as in they are government enforced vegetarians. The justifications given for this is that it is unethical to kill and harvest beings in a society of abundance. Which is a completely valid argument. However, why completely ban meat? Whats wrong with test-tube meat? This is a prey obvious fix to the problem that doesn't involve such drastic measures. But really, this is top quality military sci-fi and this is just a minor blemish.
PS. Where is 97-100? i thought it was in the index before, but now I cant find it.
