À propos de cet audio
As a middle school English teacher, Courtney Black was very familiar with all of the love stories, thank you very much. She preferred the love poetry of Elizabeth Barrett Browning to Shakespeare, but when it came to love in her own life, well, that was another matter.
It was the most cliché story of them all, but after having her heartbroken by a cheating boyfriend, Courtney had sworn off love. Shakespeare did know a little about scorned women, and Courtney was determined to live her life on her own terms. Until a man came along that seemed just fine. He was smart, good-looking, and if her father were the sort of man to be concerned about how many pounds a year he brought in, Matthew would have been an acceptable suitor by any parental standards. Maybe he was just fine enough, especially since she had sworn off clichés anyway. Who needs butterflies anyway?
But, what’s a girl to do when her best laid plans are thwarted by the devilishly handsome and charming Parker? Is Courtney going to stick with a safe life without clichés and a suitable match, or jump back into the “many-splendored thing” of real love?
