À propos de cet audio
Foreword by Mark Hyman, MD. Preface by Andrew Huberman, PhD.
You know you should be meditating, so what’s stopping you? This entertaining and enlightening audiobook by the founder of Ziva Meditation - the favorite training for high achievers - will finally take meditation mainstream.
“We meditate to get good at life, not to get good at meditation.” (Emily Fletcher)
In our high-stress, overworked lives, we think the answer to accomplishing more is to do more. But the best advantage we can give ourselves is to take a mental break - to spend a few minutes of the day giving the body and brain rest. Did you know that a brief meditation can offer rest that’s five times deeper than sleep? When you make time to practice the "Z Technique" this audiobook teaches, you’ll actually be more productive than if you took an hour-and-a-half nap or had a cup of coffee.
A leading expert in meditation for high performance, Emily Fletcher has taught meditation at numerous global corporations, including Google, Barclays Bank, and Viacom, to help their employees improve their focus and increase their productivity levels. With Stress Less, Accomplish More, anyone can get the benefits of her 15-minute twice-daily plan. Emily specifically developed the Z Technique for working people with busy lives. Now, you can learn to recharge anywhere, anytime - at home or at your desk. All you need is a few minutes and a chair (no apps, incense, or finger cymbals required).
This is not just another meditation guide. In Stress Less, Accomplish More, Emily teaches a powerful trifecta of mindfulness, meditation, and manifesting to improve your personal and professional performance, clarity, health, and sleep. You’ll learn how to cultivate mindfulness through brief but powerful exercises that will help you stop wasting time stressing. Plus, you’ll get manifesting tools to help you get crystal clear on your personal and professional goals for the future.
Filled with fascinating real-life transformations, interactive exercises, and practical knowledge, Stress Less, Accomplish More introduces you to a revelatory daily practice and shows you how to make it work for your modern life.

Before starting a meditation practice, we're often stuck in the trap of thinking that our happiness lies on the other side of a relationship, or a beautiful house, or another zero in our bank account. But once we start meditating, we realize that our happiness lies inside us, and we stop looking towards outside things to fulfill us....

Perfectionism is a naturally limiting mindset. For example, kids are taught to color inside the lines, and any color outside the lines is considered a mistake that must be corrected. Imperfectionism frees us to live outside the lines, where possibilities are infinite, mistakes are allowed, and self-judgment is minimal.

Big decisions are hard. We consult friends and family, make sense of confusing “expert” advice online, maybe we read a self-help book to guide us. In the end, we usually just do what feels right, pursuing high stakes self-improvement—such as who we marry, how to date, where to live, what makes us happy—based solely on what our gut instinct tells us. But what if our gut is wrong? Biased, unpredictable, and misinformed, our gut, it turns out, is not all that reliable. And data can prove this.

Ziva Meditation
Great book about meditation and the ziva style of meditation. If you want to learn about meditation in general or are intrigued about a different type of meditation, like the "z-technique" then this book is for you. I found myself relistening to chapters to get the technique, but to also learn more about meditation. The author's voice is easy to listen to, she makes some good jokes and her tone is excellent. Highly recommend this book to anyone looking to get into meditation or who wants meditation to stick as a daily practice.

good book on meditation
Provides an easy and realistic way to meditate for people who have struggled in the past. this is very doable!! But just want to warn you the first 8 chapters are about the benefits of meditation, there’s 1 chapter on how to meditate, then a couple wrap up chapters about more benefits. It kinda felt like an oversell for someone who was already on board with meditation but also i was excited to learn about some potential benefits i didn’t know about. (although some seemed a stretch). Overall a good read. i’m going to refer back to the “how to meditate” chapter again but i don’t need the rest of the book again,

Grateful I found SLAM:)
I first found Emily online while looking to get a more specific grasp on meditation and what it's all about. After a few YouTube videos and a MindValley class, I couldn't get her voice out of my head and I bought the audiobook, which I'm so thankful for. Emily's clarity and cadence is so nice on the ear drums, and her content is laid out in such a way that demystifies the mystic, and breaks down the actual scientific basis for why meditation WORKS. I'm on week 4 of my daily practice and I can feel the effects. I have made this a non negotiable in my life and have bookmarked the crap out of this one for future reference!

Could be better
The author is credible and the material seems well researched. However, be prepared to wade through a 7h22 min pitch on the benefits of meditation for about 20 mins of explanation of the actual technique.

still missing the most important part
I love the background information but not enough of how to actually do the mediation. She wrote a book so you will be interested in taking her expensive course. That's not why I bought it so a bit disappointed.
