Beyond Belief...
... there's nothing. At all. I guess, the recipe for success is actually quite simple: list all the commonplace beliefs and cliches you adhere to, convince yourself that you're doing it for the good of people, and then sell books (yours, and your friends'). The narrator has the tone, and I would add, the condescending tone of a Sunday school teacher, which fits the book very well. I lasted two chapters and decided this book was too much marshmallow rhetoric for me to digest.
