Knowledge is power. That would be the motto of Lander University, had it not been snatched up and used to death by others long before the school was founded. For while Lander offers a full range of courses to nearly all students, it also offers a small number of specialty classes to a very select few. Lander is home to the Hero Certification Program, a curriculum designed to develop students with superhuman capabilities, commonly known as Supers, into official Heroes. Five of this year's freshmen are extra special. They have a secret aside from their abilities - one that they must guard from even their classmates.
For every one person in the world with abilities they can control, there are three who lack such skill. These lesser super beings - Powereds, as they are called - have always been treated as burdens and second-class citizens. Though there has been ample research in the area, no one has ever succeeded in turning a Powered into a regular human, let alone a Super.
That is, until now....

Great Overall
Loved it. Reminds me of My Hero Academia in America with a little of Harry Potter. Performance great except the narration voice is a little monotone so I fell asleep at times.

Best Series
This is hands down the best series I’ve ever read. The character development is amazing and throughout the series I’ve cried about decisions and fallen in love with all of them. 10/10 recommend this series, I’ve read the series twice and listened to it another two times because I love it all so much.

Pretty good start
I had a good time with Super Powereds Year 1. It comes off a lot like Gen V but written years before and less violent. The audio narration was good and I like the world building.
It's a strong 4 stars and I will continue with the series. Hopefully the next instalment is a bit more exciting.

Great Series
I listened to all 4 books in this series. They were really captivating. The narrator was really good. He did different voices for each character. The story was interesting, with good character development.

Great entertainment
This is really well written and narrated. First of the series, this book introduces five 18-year-olds with super powers who are off to college to become heroes. There’s battles and bullies, intrigue and romance, luck and The Force. The characters are brilliant! The narrator does a good job of differentiation each voice, which is quite the feat with this large cast.

Wow!
I will admit, I watched most of MHA before discovering this series. It made me enjoy it more as it felt very familiar, and made me empathize with the main characters faster. Can't wait to get the entire series!

The author creates an interesting universe
There's an abundance of superhero stories out there, but this is definitely one of the better ones. The universe, with its rules about how powers work and how they integrate with the larger world from a social and political angle is very well thought out. The different array of powers you see range from the classics to some genuinely unique ones which kept me interested in the characters. Two small criticisms I would have is 1) the climax feels a bit rushed and I wish it would have been drawn out a bit more to really up the stakes and 2) at times when characters are conversing back and forth, there's constant "X said" and "Y said" which can get a bit annoying. The narrator does distinct enough voices for the characters that you can tell them apart by voice alone and so the "XY saids" aren't necessary.
