Felix would like nothing more than to take a vacation. A long one. One where he didn’t have to wake up every morning and worry over casualty lists for the day.
Ever since he and the Legion had been forced to flee their headquarters four years previous, nothing had gone quite right. In fact, Felix and the Legion have been locked in a shadow war with enemies unknown. Ones with magic that could carve through their technology easily.
As the rest of the world fell apart, tearing itself to pieces at every turn with the return of the old gods, the Legion has held the chaos back. The price in blood has been climbing slowly, lately.
Felix suspects there’s a change on the horizon. One that he hasn’t prepared or developed a plan for. Or so his paranoia has been telling him. That there’s a change coming now that’ll shake up the world. One that will turn it inside out, Legion and Felix along with it.
Felix has decided it’s time to push ahead and act. To finish things and protect his people at the same time. To take his Legion and make it safe.
Because that’s all that matters in the end to him. His Legion. And it always came first.

Good story
I just love that kind of ending. The romance is really smooth and not to heavy.The gods elements in the story are well writen and easy to understand.

Great! (If I was a 14 year old boy)
Creative universe but the characters are 1D. Reads like a harem fantasy but without the good parts. Good if you want to listen to something in the background.

Narrator nailed it!!
Nick Podehl did a great job. Very few people could create the masterpiece he has done. As for the author William D. Arand, he created a series that falls together so perfectly. I can’t wait for the next one.

waiting for book 4
I love listening to books narrated by Nick Podehl. I found this series and devoured it in a week. I love the way the characters interact with each other and how Nick has a different voice for each person. cant wait for the next book

This was a ride and a half!
The best of the trilogy by far, big happenings! big reveals... questions I had from book one finally answered. Clearly a non-ending ending, I cannot wait to see what the culmination may be... eventually ;)

Interesting choice in escalation.
The hardest thing to have for a good (meaning effective) protagonist is an appropriate foil for them and well when you're facing off against literal Gods... you're gonna be in the corner. Yes there was the stereotypical "You've lost, now let me tell you why." moment, but even the characters make note of how stupid that is... also sort of nice seeing them loop some original villains back into the ongoing mix. Looking very much forward to seeing where Legion goes next... also Runner is an arse, but I can't help but smile to myself every time he shows up.

Far left field
It’s more like a horny 17 year old Boys wet dream; all the relationships go to hell. This is the first series I read of his loving the first two books but the main plot I see in book three is need more wife’s.

Lacking compared to book 1 and 2
I did not enjoy this book as much as the first two. The story changed from a superhero story to an interdimensional epic. Too many new characters introduced and the old ones mainly forgotten or mentioned in passing. I feel like a lot of the story up to now was thrown out and a new direction was taken. Also, too many beautiful women that all want to sleep with Felix.

First two books were good.
I enjoyed the first 2 books, but I ended up dropping this one because all it seemed to be about was suggestive themes and expanding the main characters harem.
