Brian Cox, born in Dundee, Scotland, has worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal National Theater extensively, where he gained recognition for his portrayal of King Lear. He played supporting roles in Rob Roy (1995) and in Mel Gibson’s Academy Award-winning Braveheart (1995). A winner of two Olivier Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Golden Globe Award, he was appointed to the Order of the British Empire at the rank of Commander.

The research done is admirable.

I got so involved listening to the superstitions, revolving around fairies, but I felt quite sad. It was over after 37 minutes. I was willing to listen to other superstitions and hoping there was other chapters dealing with this involving the Scottish people. It is my hope that they’ll be other books as to the odd beliefs, custom traditions that the Scottish people do, to be explained by this author.

Fascinating especially the details of the different kind of fae

Worth a listen, the full book would be really good deep dive and this is just a taste. Really interesting if you enjoy Celtic fae lore etc.
