À propos de cet audio

Syl was given a choice by Gramps when they died. Reincarnate as a regular person or embark on a daring experiment. Driven by a desire to honor Gramps and a sense of adventure, Syl chose the latter... only to awaken as a lowly slime.

A farmed slime.

The life of a farmed slime was cruel. Syl was constantly at the mercy of humans, a slime whose only purpose was to eat and recycle garbage. The threat of lethal core-destroying knives wielded by innocent children was a constant shadow. This was not the life Syl had envisioned. So, they made a daring escape to the wilderness!

Along the way, Syl discovered the joy of eating everything they encountered. But the local monsters weren't too thrilled with another creature moving in. Humans, dwarves, and elves see monsters as nothing but experience. Goblins see Syl as an exploitable resource.

With the odds stacked against Syl, the question of their survival loomed large. Could they not just survive but thrive? Could they unlock new magic and integrate new slime cores? The future was a vast, uncharted territory, but Syl was unwavering in their determination to explore it, no matter the challenges that lay ahead.

And the biggest question of all—

Can Syl make any friends?

Some parallels to That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime and a bit of Salvos, but a little darker or chaotic neutral rather than good spectrum. Honestly, just gleefully enjoying listening to a monster getting into unexpected morally gray situations and pulling some devious stunts.
Can't wait to listen to the next books.

Significantly better than expected!

I especially like the first people they contacts before the second makes it more believable or just the smart thing

Good monster main character

For some reason this book reminds of Azarinth Healer. There is nothing similar between the 2 series on the surface level. The MC here is a monster, but the pacing and MC's atitude are just perfect, which reminded me of the other book. The duet narration is the cherry on top of the already perfect book.

my new favorite series

Un problème est survenu. Veuillez réessayer dans quelques minutes.

i enjoyed the world building and system and the MC isn't terrible like some others I've seen. I did find the bonus chapters odd as I thought i had 2 more hours of story but was given another book to sample which could be good or bad depending on it the sample draws you in. It doesn't take away from this story of course but it wasn't for me as I'd rather choose the books myself.

I'd recommend this book though and hope it pays off some things it built up in the next books.

Fun concept

I liked the book as a light "read" while doing other things, and thought the narrator did a decent job. However, as a few other reviews noted, I felt cheated by the duration of the book. It listed 20 hours, but in reality its 18, as there is a 2 hour preview for another book at the end. I really dislike when publishers do this. I don't mind the free chapters, but it should not be listed in the run time of the book I am purchasing as that seems like false advertisement to me. That said, if you enjoy light litrpg progressions stories, with maybe a bit to much focus on system mechanics and stats, and you are happy with 18 hours, then this book might be worth a try.

Book was fun, but the duration is false
