À propos de cet audio
What really happened to TWA 800? On the 20th anniversary of the crash, author Jack Cashill reveals shocking new evidence.
TWA Flight 800 crashed into the Atlantic shortly after takeoff from JFK Airport on July 17, 1996, killing all 230 passengers onboard. Although initial reports suggested a terrorist attack, FBI and NTSB investigators blamed a fuel-tank explosion. But skeptics have long questioned the official story, and new evidence has surfaced that suggests a widespread conspiracy.
In TWA 800, historian Jack Cashill introduces new documents and testimonies that reveal the shocking true chain of events, from the disastrous crash to the high-level decision to create a cover story and the attempts to silence anyone who dared speak the truth.

Ok, but….
I wasn’t familiar with this story, so I learned a lot. Interesting stuff. The first 1/2 to 2/3 was good, but I stopped listening after that. A book like this can only be political, but after the gist of the story was told, the rest was just too political for my liking. That and a few misogynistic comments put me off.
I listened for free, due to Audible Plus, otherwise I would have returned it.

Like having a tooth drilled over and over
I've never believed the official cause of the accident was caused by ignited fumes in the center fuel tank. It just seems like too much of a stretch. Millions of passengers and air miles flown and no center fuel tank ever exploded before OR after this. Hence my interest in this book.
The subject, while interesting, is ruined by the author's blatant Conservative bias and his attempt to blame the TWA 800 cover-up on crooked Bill and Hillary Clinton in hopes the incident would not hurt his chances in the 1996 election. From there it only gets worse, blaming the Clintons for everything from covering up the shooting down of an Iranian airliner in 1988, to 9/11 and Benghazi. And you can add to that plenty of criticism of the New York Times and CNN. The author portrays any mainstream news agency that disagrees with his narrative as part of the conspiracy and dismisses anyone who doesn't see things exactly as he does.
The story is drawn-out over many chapters without following a timeline so that interviews, facts and other information are repeated throughout the book over and over and over. It felt like the story was going in endless circles interspersed with tirades about the Clintons and the Democrats. All the while the author uses speculation and guess work to try to glue together the many fragments. And when certain conversations among key players are unknown, the author just makes them up, highly speculating what people might have said, for example, "there are no transcripts of the conversation, but it might have gone something like this....."
If you like conspiracy AND you hate the Clintons and the Democrats and watch Fox News Religiously, you'll probably enjoy this book far more than I did.
