À propos de cet audio

An 18-year-old woman abused from birth and a chronic conman collide to concoct the most evil pairing since Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo. Acting on a long-time fantasy, Michael Rafferty convinced Terri-Lynne McClintic to kidnap, rape, and kill eight-year-old beautiful Victoria Stafford. The events that followed divided the community and changed the lives of an entire town.

Disappointing

This story should have been titled "Excuses for Terri-Lynne McClintic" as she more than anything else seemed to be the meat of this book. The author spent most of her time delving into stats and studies regarding child abuse, neglect, and drug abuse as apposed to the actual crime in this case. I also felt that much effort was given to explain away why Terri-Lynne could commit her crime where as very little was said about the crime or her victim herself. The same can be said about her partner in crime whom the author literally skimmed right over and was content to generally leave as a villain and just a plain ole bad man without any real back story or explanation for his behaviour.

All in all I would not recommend this book for purchase. There is nothing in it that can not be found reading any news article, and the way the victim became secondary to the perpetrator is very disturbing and sad.
