The Berber Gaetuli and Garamantes ply the Atlas slopes and desert sands. Camel caravans thousands-strong carry the trans-Saharan trade, and the gold-rich empire of Ghana grows in power. Amidst it all, Tin Hinan, the mysterious queen of the Tuareg, unites her nomadic people to stand against the chaos and dangers of this world.
