Big City Pearl is the fifth text in The Adventures of Penny Pearl (STEM) series. The series attempts to informally introduce girls, ages 12 - 15, to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
This novella is dedicated to Statistics and Technology as Penny attempts to run for Head Girl at Hillcrest High School and her father runs for Mayor of Highbridge. The competition, scheduled events, and results seem to depend on the school body and the denizens of Highbridge's participation who cast their votes on the same day. Penny also learns from her grandmother ‘the key’ to ‘the touch’ as her mother and aunt call it. Penny’s friends offer help, but Mark raises the floor of anticipation as the basketball team enters the playoffs. Listen on to see how things turn out for Mr. Pearl.
