À propos de cet audio
Two years have passed since humankind faced extinction: Cousins Brian and Steven are leaving the protection of their underground bunker for the first time, after a cataclysmic war and unrelenting disease ravaged the earth. On the other side of North America, a young survivalist is leaving the seclusion of his cabin deep in the woods, traveling with his aging canine companion, Winston. For individual reasons, these men are traveling east, where the fragmented lives of a small number of survivors will soon be decided by the choices of a corrupt few. Simon Kalispell and Brian Rhodes are not yet aware, but the strength that resides inside them will soon be tested, and destiny will call for their fates to be forever intertwined.
Part I: To Alice was a semi-finalist in the 2016 BookLife Prize for Fiction, run by Publishers Weekly. Finalist in the 2017 Eric Hoffer First Horizon award. Winner of the PitchPerfect Award from Underground Book Reviews. Gold Quality Mark recipient from BooksGoSocial, their highest award level.

Pretty good is the best description
The story kept me listening, but on many occasions I just about gave up on the tale. The dialogue could use an editor as there was much repetition of oh no oh no oh no oh no... that added nothing to the story. At a number of points throughout the book the story jumped leaving me confused as to the narrative. At one point one of the characters broke into song and the narrator serenades us. That point is cringe worthy.
Several characters made speeches during the action sequences that were stilted and unrealistic.
When people are shot with a gun they Never fly backwards through the air.
One of the characters watches the second hand on his watch and the narrator reads tick tick tick tick tick (ten times!)
One character morphs into a ninja taking on a squad of soldiers with only a rusty machete truly unrealistic
Over use of deus ax machina was irritating.
I will not purchase the rest of the series.
Narrator was good at his job.
