À propos de cet audio
The classic case of alien abduction rereleased with a new afterword for a new generation.
The Andreasson Affair is more than just a classic example of a close encounter. It is - to use the jargon of ufologists - a case of such "high strangeness" that even the most open-minded investigators were at first inclined to dismiss it out of hand. Yet it has become probably the best documented case of its kind to date, the subject of an intensive 12-month investigation conducted for the Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS) that involved, among other things, the recording of large quantities of testimony given under hypnosis, extensive lie detector testing of witnesses, detailed analysis of corroborative circumstantial evidence, exhaustive comparison with other such accounts, and much more.
The Andreasson Affair includes: the most detailed description of any UFO abduction experience; a supporting foreword to the book by astronomer Dr. J. Allen Hynek; and verification of all events associated with Betty's experience.

Unembellished Straight Testimonial
Raymond E. Fowler barely comments on the testimony of Betty Andreasson and her children after an abduction at the hands of 'Quazgaa' and his extraterrestrial cohorts. Instead, the author draws parallels to other abduction accounts in an attempt to lend her story credibility. He otherwise simply presents direct transcripts of interviews under hypnosis (that's right - hours of "Betty: Yadda, yadda, yadda. Interviewer: Question. Betty: Blah, blah, blah. Interviewer: Question" and so on..)
The story is provocative but nothing spectacular. This book is fairly milquetoast as this genre goes and is structured maddeningly.
Reader Roger Wayne does a praiseworthy job delivering the book, however: professional, interested, and resisting the temptation to affect accents or read caricatures of "female" or "child" testimony. Wayne's performance is certainly imperfect (he reads slightly too slowly, for example).. but is one of the stronger features of this recording.
Altogether, 'The Andreasson Affair' is an entertaining distraction for a quiet afternoon, I guess. If you can get it - as I did - as a 'Plus' option, don't hesitate.. it's interesting. Should Audible ask for a Credit, however, there are better options available than this 5/10-star offering.
