When a pseudonymous programmer introduced “a new electronic cash system that’s fully peer-to-peer, with no trusted third party” to a small Online mailing list in 2008, very few paid attention. Ten years later, and against all odds, this upstart autonomous decentralized software offers an unstoppable and globally-accessible hard money alternative to modern central banks. The Bitcoin Standard analyzes the historical context to the rise of Bitcoin, the economic properties that have allowed it to grow quickly, and its likely economic, political, and social implications.

One of the most complicated and advanced computers on Earth can't be purchased in any store. This astonishing device, responsible for storing and retrieving vast quantities of information that can be accessed at a moment's notice, is the human brain. How does such a dynamic and powerful machine make memories, learn a language, and remember how to drive a car? What habits can we adopt in order to learn more effectively throughout our lives? The answers to these questions are merely the tip of the iceberg in The Learning Brain.

He continues to challenge conventional wisdom and asks the questions that will help listeners sift through today's information overload to uncover ways to assess what's real... and what isn't. And use truth and facts as a foundation for taking control of their financial lives. In this new book, Robert fights what’s "fake" and helps listeners differentiate between what’s real...and what isn’t.

Michael Shellenberger has been fighting for a greener planet for decades. He helped save the world’s last unprotected redwoods. He co-created the predecessor to today’s Green New Deal. And he led a successful effort by climate scientists and activists to keep nuclear plants operating, preventing a spike of emissions. But in 2019, as some claimed "billions of people are going to die", contributing to rising anxiety, including among adolescents, Shellenberger decided that he needed to speak out to separate science from fiction.

The most comprehensive book on crypto
I’m very happy happy with this purchase and impressed with this book. I’ve been investing in crypto for several years now and I’m constantly consuming as much information as I can through books and podcasts not only for keeping up to date on my investments, but also because I find the whole industry interesting and exciting. Mr.Lewis lays out a well balanced and realistic view for and against blockchains and crypto currencies. I thought I knew a lot about the technology, but Mr.Lewis has proved me wrong and I appreciate it. This book would be a great asset for both those new or interested in this emerging industry as well as those who have been here for years.
