À propos de cet audio
Is the Bible the only thing Christians need?
What did the Early Christian Church Fathers Believe?
Did you know that Jesus and the Apostles quote Extrabiblical authorities?
How did we get the Bible?
In this audiobook, we will critically explain and examine the notion of sola scriptura (the Bible alone). We will show how the historical record shows that The Bible is a part of the greater Apostolic Tradition. We will show how this Apostolic Tradition was first preached and then later put into writing. We will also show how many other biblical writings such as 1 Clement, the Didache, the writings of Polycarp, Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, and many others were also deemed as authoritative as the current books of the Bible. We will lastly see how it was through the authority of the Catholic Church through which we got the modern canon of the Bible.
In the second part, we will show how the notion of a bible alone is contradicted by the Bible itself! We will show the notion of greater Church authority. We will also show how Jesus and the Apostles quoted extra-biblical sayings and sources such as the notion of Moses' seat, the Old Testament names of Jannes and Jambres, and much more!
In the last part, we will lastly show the practical problems of Sola Scriptura. We will specifically show how the notion of sola scriptura leads to circular reasoning and unresolvable moral problems. Of most importance of all is the fact that it has led to a plethora of a multitude of different Christian denominations with drastically different theological contradictions.
