Sears was at civil war and in need of a new leader. In 1978, Edward R. Telling became the Sears chairman, and by 1984 Sears was back on top, bigger than ever. interesting but editing needed

narrator is first class!
I really enjoy business books and this one is a good read. the stoey is somewhat longer than. necessary with extraneous details, but rather too much than too less.
Characters interact with some friction,but not as much as one would expect
The insight to the culture and inner workings of the company were quite illuminating .

Interesting!

Such a long and interesting history that Sears had. Excellent information. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys history.

Good retail history

A very good book, but long. I think you have to have a background in retailing to really appreciate it. One part dragged, in the early part of the financial business, but otherwise kept my attention. Listened at 1.5 speed, it would have unbearable at 1.0.
