À propos de cet audio
A small town, single parent romance from Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author Devney Perry.
Her past. His secrets. They have more in common than she knows.
Maisy is happily content with the life she’s built for herself and her young son in small-town Prescott, Montana. Her child is thriving, her business is growing, and her family is as close as they’ve ever been. But when a handsome stranger walks into the lobby of her motel, her simple life is swept up in a wave of affection for his gentle heart. None of those feelings can be trusted, though. She made that mistake before with another man. The man she murdered.
Hunter was a different man when he first saw Maisy Holt from afar. He took one look at her and ran in the opposite direction. But years later, he’s back in Montana and unable to keep his distance. He shouldn’t have tried to find her but he never was good at rejecting temptation. The promise of the good she could bring into his life is too hard to resist. Maybe if he can disguise the lies and hide the deceit, he can keep her from learning the truth. Because his only chance at a future with her is by burying his past.

Finally Maisy’s story!
Finally, near the end of the series we get Maisy’s book! I was so curious about her story since the first book where she was introduced to us. It started off really good. I was curious about this “mystery man” when she went into labor. Her running the Inn and being fully dedicated to it alongside being a single mother was inspiring.
There were some awkward moments for me. Because right from the beginning Hunter is so mysterious and will not share a single thing at all with Maisy. It was just a little bit uncomfortable kind of. Just because no one‘s really addressing the elephant in the room situation. Once secrets are revealed and this whole situation with the grandma. I was getting a little bit of a headache, Maisy just got overloaded with all this shit at once it seems like. This was no longer a sweet small-town romance which I thought it was going to be, but it got complicated and nerve-racking. The reason why I say nerve-racking is because a child was involved. I think that’s all I’m gonna say without spoiling it, I’m sorry you’ll just have to read it to find out.
There is also mentions of Nick and Emmeline. Who I totally forgot who they were, because they weren’t mentioned in any other books besides our own and then this one.
I’m still not totally sold on Aiden Snow as an narrator yet… maybe I just need to listen to a few more books and then I’ll be used to him?
