As the clock ticks down to Coronation Day, the team must scramble to keep Max's small-screen debut from ending in a dangerously explosive finale.

Enjoyable series
I'm really enjoying this series so far. The characters are interesting, the books are well written, and the narration is strong. I appreciate the peek into 1950's England - and in this book, the contrast with 1950's US. Elly Griffiths has created some interesting, flawed and complex characters that I like to watch as they go from book to book (I also enjoy her Ruth Galloway series). Recommended.

Not my fav in this series
I gave this book 3 stars for the performances but the story was very lacking compared to the first one or the second one.
Each book diminishes my impression of the detective’s smarts or competency. This book fails to excite or intrigue because of how muddy it seems. I felt like the author was a little undecided on whether they wanted to write a romance novel or if they wanted to write a detective novel so the result feel short on both and makes the detective look incompetent in both aspects.
