Description
Valency Stirling has lived a life of submission. Controlled by a domineering mother and an over-opinionated family, she awakens on her 29th birthday resigned to dull existence. Her only escape - the Blue Castle of her imagination.
But when an unexpected letter changes everything, Valency breaks the bonds of fear and finds purpose in a whole new life - a life that turns the Blue Castle of her dreams into a reality.
Best known for her Anne of Green Gables series, L.M. Montgomery’s The Blue Castle is one of her few adult novels, full of both humor and romance.

Anne Shirley has left Redmond College behind to begin a new job and a new chapter of her life away from Green Gables. Now she faces a new challenge: the Pringles. Freckles is the only name he has ever known. His right hand is missing at the wrist, and he is haunted by not knowing how it happened. Raised since infancy in a Chicago orphanage, he speaks with a slight Irish accent and sings with a beautiful voice. Now, exhausted after many days of walking, he applies for a job with the Grand Rapids Lumber Company, guarding timber in the Limberlost Swamp from timber thieves. Histoire
Maisie Dobbs got her start as a maid in an aristocratic London household when she was thirteen. Her employer, suffragette Lady Rowan Compton, soon became her patron, taking the remarkably bright youngster under her wing. Lady Rowan’s friend, Maurice Blanche, often retained as an investigator by the European elite, recognized Maisie’s intuitive gifts. The outbreak of war changed everything. Ten years after the Armistice, in the spring of 1929, Maisie sets out on her own as a private investigator, one who has learned that coincidences are meaningful, and truth elusive.

Histoire
Bo Tully is the sheriff of Blight County, Idaho, where law enforcement is usually pretty mundane: tracking down truants running away from school, picking up country boys who've had a few too many beers. But Tully gets a little more than the country norm when an ex-con calls with the startling news that there's a corpse draped across one of his fences.

Beautiful Story
This is a beautiful story by the author of Anne of Green Gables. This is one of her few “adult” books, and is a very enjoyable read. So good that Audible has added it. The reader is superb.
