"The One" is a self agrandizing dude

While the first book starts well, it quickly is followed by a lackluster second book. The main character keeps saying how good he is, and the writing of women is quite bad, with them written mostly in the aim of comparing them to the MC or as "I'm a woman and should serve men".
Performance is shared between two people. The actor making most of the narrative lacks enough variation in their voice to properly differentiate the characters talking to each others. The actress' range is way better in my opinion.
