Cumbria, 1967. That was good. I'm finally back at work, and back to binging audiobooks. This turned out to be a good choice. Not the fastest paced, but steady, with interesting, believable characters (including some creepy kids...) and a great mystery. I wasn't expecting a spy thriller. It was, technically, but it felt like a more traditional whodunit. Also, I appreciated the depiction of a healthy female friendship, which I rarely see, and a healthy marriage, which I see even less. It was refreshing. I was left with questions (creepy kids...), but overall, the ending was satisfying.
I liked it.
