the education needed on israel
my mom gave me this book as a hardcover many years ago, and unfortunately I never read it, so I was pleased to find it here on audible. it has completely changed my false narrative of israel and armed me with facts. unfortunately it makes people hate you, but at least I know what I'm talking about and can tell people where to look if their at all interested and not solely anti semetic. Alan does an amazing job going through each false narrative, and shows how humane israel has been in their response to terror attacks, not seen anywhere else in the world. While also giving insight to what the day to day life in israel is like.

A book every university student should read
A must listen given the events currently playing out in the Middle East and around the world. An enlightening and fair analysis of the issues Israel is up against with Hamas and their neighbouring Muslim countries.

A history uncovered
I have long thought the birth of Israel started with the UN and the Holocaust. This book has shown me the true history of the Jewish people, their perseverance, and bravery throughout an entire history of persecution. What other religion or group could have survived and thrived through such hardship and so much animosity aimed at its extermination? After reading this book,I feel like the history we are taught is leaving out some important aspects of the true indomitable human spirit.

Incredibly biased
Upon broadening my research, I find this book incredibly one-sided as opposed to a balanced look at things - ‘warts and all’, as Alan put it.
Not the greatest look at things, and quite outdated at this point, by a morally questionable lawyer (to put it kindly).

Though obviously dated, a great introduction to how many contradictions the justification of war crimes holds.
The author spends more time tripping over grave contradictions of his point and calling noted historians "uneducated" while quoting those who are easily discredited, than actually convincing anyone of the conclusion. The book is a good look into who the resistance is fighting against and just how distorted the victim complex has made the minds of many otherwise intelligent human beings, leading them to attempt to justify war crimes, regardless of who they are committed by
