À propos de cet audio
In need of a good adventure, Delaney Nichols takes the leap and moves to Edinburgh, Scotland, to start a job at The Cracked Spine. She doesn't know much about what she's gotten herself into other than that the work sounds exciting and that her new boss, Edwin MacAlister, has given her the opportunity of a lifetime.
When she arrives, she meets her new Scottish family; also working at The Cracked Spine are Rosie, perpetually wrapped in scarves, who always has tiny dog Hector in tow; Hamlet, a 19-year-old thespian with a colored past and a bright future; and Edwin, who is just as enigmatic and mysterious as Delaney expected.
But before she can settle in to her new life, a precious artifact - a previously undiscovered first folio of Shakespeare's plays - goes missing, and Edwin's sister is murdered, seemingly in connection to the missing folio. Delaney decides to do some sleuthing of her own to find out just what the real story is behind the priceless folio and how it's connected to the tragic death - all without getting harmed herself.

The cracked Spine
book 1 . Enjoyable light mystery . The beginning of a series . We meet the many people who I expect will still be in the next books. Set in Edinburgh Scotland . The story is full of fun as the story goes along. Unfortunately the reader though good needs to learn to pronounce the Scottish words a little better but good try for an American.

Easy listening
Light mysteries help me sleep at night. Most cozy mysteries are read by people with irritating voices. Fortunately this wasn’t the case and so I was able to finish the book without deleting it part way through.

Too long, not suspense full
This story dragged for way too long and the main character seemed more like a nuisance than anything else. The entire story was not to really ind a killer, but to find a book that was found in an open drawer. Nothing seemed suspenseful.
I loved the Narrator ‘s male voices and Scottish accents, but the female leads voice was grating.

More of a Harlequin type novel than a mystery
I thought the premise was good but then it became all about kilts and tall, dark hadsome men with cobolt colour eyes. Disappointing but perhaps will improve in the next books. I hope so
