Delectable and Delightful!

I am a HUGE fan of the first book in this series, so I was both equally excited for this and nervous at the same time but it didn't disappoint. Keep in mind that I did listen to this on Audible but Caitlin Davies has a way for making our evil ladies just come to absolute life ❤️

I loved the banter and hate between Chrysantha and Eryx 😈 it was absolutely delectable! If you're looking for the same strong willed, devious and amazing woman characters from the first book then you won't be disappointed. Chrysantha couldn't be more different from her sister EXCEPT in the fact that they will stop at almost nothing to get what they want. And what does this sister want? Freedom. What is in her way? Men. Particularly one man, Eryx.

This book had me laughing, groaning in frustration, yelling at the idiots our FMC has to deal with and swooning for the pure love/hate between Eryx and Chrysantha. I also absolutely adored the side characters Kyros and his son Nyktos. I honestly hope we get to see them in future stories and even see them find their own HEA 🥰. I loved the mystery behind Eryx as well. The whole time I was making guesses about his powers and motives and while I did get close I didn't figure out the truth until near the end! Plus who doesn't like a little monster in their romance 😈.

The spicy scenes were absolutely AMAZING, the tension was palpable between the two from the get go, and the scene in the Duchesses bedroom was 🔥🥵🥵. I wish we got more from the end scene however, because it felt a little rushed even if when it's a YA, it was a little more fade to black than I am used to but that by no means took away from the story 😘. Please remember we all have different preferences when it comes to these stories, so something I wasn't a big fan of, others will definitely enjoy!

All in all, I loved this story and I truly enjoyed learning more about Chrysantha and how she and her sister came together in the end ❤️ Plus who doesn't like seeing the cute tidbits from the MC's from the first book 😍😍 absolutely to die for!
